Museum
of Nantes is a French natural history museum located in the city of
Nantes. The
Museum was born in the early nineteenth century. The museum opened in
1875, designed by architect Gustave Bourgerel. The Museum of Nantes
is one of the very first in France. There is a large room on two
levels, preceded by a vestibule.
The
museum is regularly asked to perform scientific missions on the
ground, whether appraisals of collections, actions related to the
protection of nature and opportunities for collecting specimens.
