Who is Sophia in Portugal?

Sophie de Mello Breyner Andresen is a very important writer, in Portuguese Literature.
Sophie’s parents were Danish but she was born in Oporto.
There are things she loved: writing, flowers and the sea.
Many of her stories are dedicated to the young people: “The sea girl”, “The Fairy    Oriana”, “The Christmas Night”, “The Danish Knight”, “The Bronze Boy” or “The Forest”.
She dies in 2004, in Lisboan, with 84 years old.
For those who love Sophia’s books, she is always present in her minds.
One of her most famous quotes is:
“When I die, I’ll return to look for the moments I didn’t live by the sea.”
We’re going to tell you a secret: we love Sophie de Mello Breyner Andresen. Her books are wonderful.
