From Lamego, in the north of Portugal, we wish you a great trip and best wishes of a lovely work along these months.
Our city is very ancient, very green and peaceful. We have some mountains around it, nearby it is the river Douro and our school is very agreable. In it there are about 500 students with the ages between 10 and 16 years old. We love to participate in european projects and the teachers who are going to work with us are Mrs. Fátima Gouveia, Mrs. Lurdes Cardoso and Mrs. Isilda Afonso.
We are delighted and anxious to meet you and your countries. Here is our school and where it is situated in our country.

Hello !

We are a Euro class of 22 students. We are 12 to 13 years old. We live near Nantes in the North West of France, in Nort s/Erdre precisely. In our school there are a little bit more than 500 students from 11 to 15 years old. We study French, mathematics, English, German, Spanish, technology, biology, physics, history & geogaphy, arts, music and we practise sport. We start school at 8 o'clock in the morning and we finish school at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Our school is quite old (37 years old precisely) and not in a very good state :-( 

 We are happy to be in the VIRTUAL TRIP AROUND EUROPE project !!!

Hi to everybody,
My name is Dagmara and I teach English to 10-13 year olds. Our school is a small, private one. I'd like to contribute to this blog with the oldest pupils.

Greetings from Legnago, Italy.

Legnago is a town and comune in the Province of Verona, Veneto, northern Italy. It is located on the Adige river, about 43 km from Verona.

 

Its fertile land produces crops of rice, other cereals, sugar, and tobacco.

In the 19th century it was one of the Quadrilatero fortresses, the main strongpoint of the Austrian Lombardy-Venetia puppet state during the Italian Wars of Independence. The present fortifications were planned and made in 1815, the older defences having been destroyed by Napoleon I in 1801.

Main sights

• Church of San Salvaro (12th century).

• Cathedral (Duomo), from the 18th century.

• The Torrione ("Grand Tower"), dating from the 14th century, the only surviving tower from the old medieval walls.

 

Legnago is the birthplace of the composer Antonio Salieri (1750-1825, who named the local “Salieri Theatre”.

We came back to school last week. I will let my students introduce themselves and our place. I'm just going to give you a little clue about the big city that is not far from our area.

Vrable - Slovakia

Vrable is the name of the town where I live. It lies in the south-west of Slovakia 20 km from a big city Nitra, 120 km from the capital Bratislava.The life is great here. Slovakia is proud of the mountains called Tatry - they are the symbol of our country.

 Hello,
I'm Apreutesei Maricica, a professor at John Slavici High School in the small town of Panciu. The city is located in the south-east of Romania.
Our high school has 500 students, and those in my class were 11-12 years. Are beautiful and curious to know their new partners. On 17 September start courses in Romania and all will go to work.

Town is surrounded by vine crops.                                       Our small and quiet town.
